It got down to 13 degrees last night!! Which makes fly fishing more challenging. I can only get about 5 casts before the eyes in my fly rod freez up binding the fly line in the eyes. But that's only a minor hazard. Looking forward to getting to Lake Lenor and some big Lahouton Cutthroats in the next week or so. It's that time of year. That's quite a committment for our office. I'm part of the group even though I've been coached through the Buffini system. That's the way to spend a Wednesday afternoon in this country. Next stop, Rocky Ford!!! The picture of this one is typical. Warm days; leaves turning; cool nights - fall is without question the best time in the northwest!! And I'm heading to Amber Lake tomorrow after my morning business meeting. Today, we started Brian Buffini's 100 days to greatness. I've been involved with the Buffini referral based system for several years now, but 40 of our 100 agents signed up for this at the personal cost of $400. each. I was born in the "Smith Corona" era (and that's not a beer!). So this "techno" stuff is a stretch for me. But life is good in the inland northwest. Warm fall days, cool nights, hatches starting to come off the local lakes and river and real estate is starting to pick up a bit. The "Stimulus Plan" hasn't stimulated much in our market, however the $8,000 tax credit did help a bit. It needs to be continued. If you know of anyone interested in one of the better waterfront buys, take a look at this one on http://www.spokanehomeinfo.com/. It's in Post Falls, ID and you can boat 9 miles to the Coeur d'Alene Resort on Lake Coeur d'Alene or an additional 30 miles to St. Maries on the St. Joe River that feeds the Lake on the south end. What a lifestyle!
